Safety First!Safety is the paramount concern of the Engineering Design & Prototyping Facility, and should be yours as well. We endeavor to provide a safe and secure working environment, but it is your responsibility to ensure your own safety by adhering to the safety rules and acting responsibly. Access is controlled to the extent practical, and video cameras are recording all activities in the facility to encourage responsible behavior. You are required to read and sign the Safety & Access Agreement (found in the links to the left), prior to working in the shop. This agreement must be signed in the presence of the shop supervisor (or designated representative), and should be read carefully prior to doing so. You will be held responsible for compliance. A new requirement regarding Welding Safety has been implemented as of September 1, 2006. See the link to the left, "Welding Safety". |
