The Engineering Design and Prototyping Facility in the West Wing of Technology Hall has installed an Access Control and Closed Circuit Television Monitoring system. Faculty and students with a legitimate academic need will have increased access to the facility on days and times not previously available. This system requires the use of a radio frequency (RF) access card to make ingress or egress. These cards are available at no charge to any CoE student Security and safety will be evaluated through 32 channels of digitally recorded video and audio. Access to the facility will be by card reader and strictly controlled. All persons with business in the Facility shall be required to obtain an access control card / badge through a procedure that is outlined below. Access to equipment and processes within the facility is by permission only, and based on skill and experience. If you have any questions about access, policies, safety, rules, or procedures, contact the Facility manager at steve.collins@uah.edu. To obtain an access control card you must complete the following (in approximate order): (Adobe Acrobat is required to open and print the documents linked below.) DOCUMENTS THAT REQUIRE A SIGNATURE MUST BE SIGNED IN THE PRESENCE OF THE FACILITY MANAGER OR THE CLASS INSTRUCTOR. NOTE! It is assumed that you fully comprehend all the access & safety documents; if you do not, contact the Facility manager prior to attempting to use the facility. Once your access credentials have been issued, you may gain after-hours access by completing a Facility Access Form.
