Welcome:

Welcome to Shopweb.  The goal of the facility this website supports is to enhance the educational opportunities the UAH College of Engineering provides to it's students.  The focus is on teaching the use of manufacturing equipment such as Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and numerically controlled machine tools (CNC) to improve the design engineering process.  We have the information organized into areas of use for particular purposes.  Casual users may want to check out What's New and the FAQ  pages.  Students needing information for a specific class will want to enter through Course MaterialsStudents working with  CAD / CAM or are wanting to obtain access to the CNC machines, will find the CNC Milling and CNC Turning pages most useful.   Of course you are always welcome to check out the Glossary and External Links pages.  NOTE:  anyone wanting to use the tools, equipment, or facilities of the CoE machine shop must read and sign a Safety & Access Agreement, and obtain an access control card.  Please take a look around, let us know what you think, and suggest improvements to our site.  After all, it is here to help you.

You may  obtain technical support by telephone at (256) 824-4296, or by e-mail to steve.collins@uah.edu.
